Manyof them possess good sized auditoriums andall of them commodious club rooms, util-ized by womens clubs, neighborhood clubsand boys and girls clubs for debating andstudy. The widely known park system of Cleve-land comprises twenty-eight magnificentparks, including 1,700 acres (52 acres inlakes) and threaded by over thirty milesof parkways and boulevards, thus bringingtogether in one beautiful whole the hills andmeadows, forests and wooded dells, streamsand lakes that exhibit natures prodigalityof expenditure and mans understandingadaptability of it to the uses and happinessof the great public. The park system extends in a girdle ofverdure almost entirely around the cit\.the extremities resting upon the lake front,east and west of the city.
