Befidesthefe ufes in mechanics and medicine, there is aninftance in Giraldus Cambrenjis^ of a countefs ofChejler^ who kept milch hindes, and made cheefeof their milk, fome of which flie prefented toarchbiihop Baldwin^ in his itinerary through Wales^in the year 1188 *. * Girald.
