The entire world of childish experience andknowledge may be drawn upon for the materials for language training. It is, however, through long sustained effort and practice under never ceasingwatch and correction that the art of correct speaking and writing is obtained. Itis the duty of the school to afford this practice and to exercise this surveillancein order that there may be a development of the power to speak without effortand with freedom from grammatical erro
