This thrives best in rich, moist ground. For the principal early crop sow seed in fall and protect through winter same as for early cabbage. For successive crops seeds may be sown as early as spring opens, continuing until Auapust. ^^ig Boston Lettuce,—This va- riety is identical in color, shape and general appearance with the famous Boston Market Lettuce,but is double the size.
