Lioness shaking water off of herself INDIA EXCITING images of an Asiatic Lioness shaking rainwater off herself were captured in India Gir Forest National Park. Gir is situated in Gujarat, India and is the only place in the WORLD to have Asiatic lions in the wild. The lioness was relaxing with her cubs and showering them with affection before the actual showers began, and the cubs ran back to the den. The lioness, though, stayed back and enjoyed the rain before following them back home. These images were captured by a young Indian photographer, Aman Sharma (20), using his Nikon D500 camera and a 200-500mm lens. “I still remember this day. It was already pouring heavily by the time we realised that the rain had started,” he said. “While all other vehicles left in a hurry, we stayed back, willing to brave the rain as seasoned wildlife photographers and nature revealed its wonders to us. “From the time I stepped into this forest, I immediately fell in love with it. “From the lions that inhabit the tall mountains to those that inhabit its low-lying scrubs, Gir’s landscape is a magnificent blend of India’s topography.” ENDs
