Selingue, Mali, 28th April 2015; Faraba gold mines. Washing a sample of the ore Mamadu Doubia, 22, brought up this morning to check for any gold. He spent 2 hours 45 minutes mining underground this morning. The conditions are tough, with stale air and a lot of water in the mines. The women are working for him, pulling the rope for one week in exchange for one sack of ore.
