Albuquerque, New Mexico: Vintage sign of the Tewa Motor Lodge along Central Avenue. The motel was built in 1946 in the Pueblo Revival style along historic Route 66 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. Though the sign is not original, the building’s use of neon has been judged as the best in the city. The Tewa Motor Lodge is still in operation as a motel and listed on the National Park Service’s Route 66 “Discover Our Shared Heritage Travel Itinerary”.
