120213-N-ZZ999-031 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Feb. 13, 2012) Boatswain’s mates aboard the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) hoist a rigid hull inflatable boat after recovering a SLOCUM Ocean Glider. The SLOCUM provides critical, real time oceanographic volume measurements. The Iwo Jima Amphibious Readiness Group is underway participating in a certification exercise in preparation for an upcoming deployment.
