A Air Force C-17 Globemaster III from Dover AFB, Del., approaches the dirt runway at Schoonover Airfield, Fort Hunter-Liggett, Calif., on June 22, 2012 during Exercise GLOBAL MEDIC 2012. Medical crews country-wide utilize the C-17 for training purposes. Exercise GLOBAL MEDIC 2012 is an annual joint field training exercise for theater aeromedical evacuation systems and ground medical components designed to replicate all aspects of combat medical service support.
