Since first offered in 1889, this variety has been grown almost exclusively by market gardeners as first early, for which it bas given better satisfaction than any early variety yet introduced; as a medium or late variety it is almost worthless compared with the later kinds. To be good and smooth it must be grown early. I have greatly improved this variety by five years' careful selection. It is both earlier and smoother than any other strain of Atlantic prize offered by other houses The vines grow strong, stiff and very rapidly, the buds appearing before the plant is 4 inches high. Tbe fruit is borne in immense clusters, is very solid and of the finest quality. Another great feature, besides extreme earliness, ripens its first fruit more evenly and abund- antly than any other tomato grown. Price per pkt., 10c; one-half oz., 20c; oz., 40c; one quarter lb., $ Livingston's Beauty. This is the market gardeners' second early and main crop variety. I have carefully selected tbis variety for several years, and it is now both earlier and much larger than the original strain. In color resembling the Acme, but of a little lighter sbade of purple.
