Spear-fisherman Matt gillen and Jordan Ansell (Pictured) both 29 from Portsmouth hunt for fish just off the coast of Dorset. Spearfishing is a method of fishing that has been used throughout the world for millennia. Early civilisations were familiar with the custom of spearing fish from rivers and streams using sharpened sticks. Nowadays Spearfisherman use an elastic powered spear gun.
