The box is cubic with a hinged lid with a hinged ring on top. On the front and on top is an oval cable edge inlaid in different colors of veneer, filled with a rosette. A frame of dashed lines is inlaid on each face. The box contains a square plate with a ring on an oval plate that serves as a weight to keep the tea in place.
