The upper section con-tains the indicating instruments, protective apparatus andswitches arranged for regulating the welding current, and thelower section contains the starting and protective equipmentfor the motor-generator set. As it is sometimes desired tohave several welding circuits connected to one generator, acontrol panel is provided for each circuit. Each panel can be located at the most desirable place. Metal or carbon pencilwelding can be done from any of these panels, independentof all others, and one or more arcs can be operated simul-taneously. The accessories consist of a carbon holder anda hood for protecting the operator, together with a shield anda metal pencil holder for each welding circuit.
