Iliekman, who, whileaccompanying a store manager to a bank with the receipts, was con-fronted by four men, one of whom was brandishing a saw ed-o(f officer raised his revolver and ordered them to raise their hands,but the man with the shotgun pointed it at him. The officer fired andstruck him. The bandit discharged the shotgun and struck the men jumped into a ear and made their escape. Vt hile being treatedfor his wounds at the hospital, the officer observed a man being wheeledfrom the examining room and identified him as the felon with thesa«ed-off shotgun.
