Personally I havelearnt a great deal from the various opinionsexpressed, and, even though not always in agree-ment, it is a good thing to hear two sides of acase. Mr. Maiden rightly deplores the fact thatsuch an authority as H. should not have thecourage of his opinions to give his name. How-ever, I think I am able to locate H., and Imight say it would be very difficult for anyoneto measure his length with him on the matterof up-to-date experience with pasture land experi-ments in the North of England. I have already given my opinions, and has answered them from his point ofview, and it is only right that one should valuetheir experience. There is one point of view,however, which I feel Mr. Maiden has continu-ally drawn away from, and that is the matter ofeconomical improvement.
