The cave is an immense and picturesquecrack or sink in the solid limestone of the mount-ain top, into which one may descend to an irreg-ular bottom about a hundred feet square, in onecorner of which is a small and beautiful SCENES IN THE YOSEMITE —Bridal Veil Fall. 2.—Mirror Lake. By both routes Merced is reached at night ou thefourth day after leaving for the valley, or lateraccording to the time spent thei-e. The carsleave at 6 a. m., for Lathrop. We distinctly advise travelers not to returnthe same way as they entered the valley, butalways choose a different route. Likewise inhorseback rides, always return to the valley fromGlacier Point, or other points, and fi-om theretake the stage.
