Siegessäule (Victory Column). Designed by Heinrich Strack in 1864 to commemorate the Prussian victory in the Second Schleswig War. Before its inauguration in 1873, Prussia won the Austro-Prussian War (1866) and the Franco-Prussian War (1870–71), so, the column commemorate also this victories in the unification wars. And was the reson to add the bronze sculpture of the roman goddess of victory (berliner nickname "Goldelse"), with metres (27 ft) high, designed by Friedrich Drake. Tiergarten. Berlin. Germany
