Pont Trencat in Santa Maria de Palautordera in the region of Valles Oriental province of Barcelona,Catalonia,Spain


The Pont Trencat is located at the entrance to the village of Sant Celoni from Barcelona, on the coast of the regional road. It crosses the Tordera to the area that forms the boundary between the termes of Sant Celoni and Santa Maria de Palautordera, and crosses the river following the traçat de l'antiga Roman via Augusta and the medieval road. It is the tract of a bridge in the Gothic style that was to be built in the medieval period, between the 14th and 15th centuries. Originally it had two ulls with pointed arcades, but only one is preserved, bastit a consciència amb carreus de pedra, which belonged to Palautordera. Santa María de Palautordera is a municipality in Catalonia, Spain. It belongs to the province of Barcelona, specifically to the Vallés Oriental region. It is part of the Bajo Montseny subregion.
