Golden langur monkey (Trachypithecus geei). The golden langur monkey is an endangered species and has an estimated population of around 10,000 individuals. It is mainly found in the foothills of the Himalayas along the Assam-Bhutan border. It feeds on fruit, leaves, seeds, buds and flowers and is mainly threatened by habitat loss.
