Cpl. McLaughlin captured a photograph on Dec. 27, 1918. The image showcases a Number 10 hydroplane and observation balloons. These were used by the Army Transport Service at Base Section No. 5 in Brest, Pinistere, France during World War I. The photograph was approved by the censor.
