Le Moulin de la Galette restaurant in Montmatre Paris

Le Moulin de la Galette restaurant in Paris’ most distinctive district, Montmartre, is replete with the ghosts of great artists. Van Gogh, Renoir, Picasso, Toulouse-Lautrec all painted the famous windmills (and later dancehalls) of Montmartre, and half of them lived in this very street. The windmill remains atop this restaurant, a Parisian windmill above the restaurant is called the Moulin Radet, after the family which owns both windmills in Montmatre. The restaurant has been portrayed in paintings, most notably that of Renoir.
