Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) Maj. Gen. Yoshikatsu Oshima, 3rd Air Wing commander, addresses members assigned to the 35th Civil Engineer Squadron and the Northern Air Civil Engineering Group during a ceremony to commemorate the completion of a bilateral Rapid Airfield Damage Recovery (RADR) pad at Draughon Range near Misawa Air Base, Japan, Nov. 29, 2022. Draughon Range has been essential in bilateral training between the Air Force and JASDF, and this addition of the RADR pad will increase bilateral training, enhancing the lethality and interoperability of both forces.
