World War I - Apsley Gate, Hyde Park Corner, London just after being fitted with searchlights. The classical style stone gateway has scroll-topped columns designed by 25 year old Decimus Burton in Portland stone It was built between 1826 & 1829 with friezes copied from the Elgin Marbles and the Parthenon in Athens by John Henning.
