MOREISOX, Robert G., is of Scotch de-scent on both bis fathers and mothers was born at Blairs Mills, Pa., in father was David Harbison Morrison,whose ancestors emigrated from Scotland tothe north of Ireland in the beginning of theeighteenth century, where he was born andeducated. He was then apprenticed in theold-fashioned way to learn the mercantilebusiness. When a young man, having gradu-ated in the business, so to speak, he emi-grated to the United States and found hisfirst employment in a wholesale house atIhiladelphia, where he remained until he hadaccumulated sufficient to start in businessfor himself.
