Nab Hill moor top, with heater and Purple Moor Grass, looking south to the Ovenden Moor windfarm site, South Pennines, north of Halifax, West Yorkshire. By August 2016 twenty-three, 50m tall wind turbines, generating power since 1993, had been taken down and were being replaced by nine, 115 m tall turbines by Yorkshire Wind Power Ltd. The new turbines were present by 2017.
