Cave centipede. Close-up of a Criptos anomalans centipede. This predatory myriapod is found only in the Movile Cave, Romania, where life has been cut off from the outside world for the past million years. It has evolved in total darkness over that time and has lost its eyes as a result, so it uses its oversized antennae (left and right) to hunt for food.
