A secluded beach at Shore Acres Park located on the Cape Arago Highway, 13 miles southwest of Coos Bay and Highway 101.

Perched on rugged sandstone cliffs high above the ocean, Shore Acres State Park is an exciting combination of natural and constructed features. Once the grand estate of pioneer timber baron Louis Simpson, Shore Acres features lushly planted gardens with plants and flowers from all over the world. There are secluded ocean coves as shown here and spectacular ocean vistas which often include towering waves and migrating grey whales. The park was closed in November 2016 because of flooding risks from storms and high tides Shore Acres Park is located on the Cape Arago Highway, 13 miles southwest of Coos Bay/North Bend and Highway 101. The park is open every day from 8 to dusk.
