The Airmen are members of the 2nd Maintenance Squadron based at Barksdale Air Force Base, La. The B-52s come here from a forward-deployed location and go into phase maintenance after 300 flying hours. The $34-million hangar is the newest in the Air Force and can house any type of Air Force aircraft.
