Australian Defence Force (ADF) Brig. David Coghlan, commander, 6th Brigade, arrives aboard the Navy's forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) as part of a distinguished visitor embark. George Washington and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, are currently participating in exercise Talisman Saber (TS) 2013. The TS series is a biennial training event aimed at improving ADF and combat readiness and interoperability as a Combined Joint Task Force.
