DIEGO (July 28, 2017) Rear Adm. John V. Fuller, right, assumes command of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 1 from Rear Adm. Jim Kilby during a change of command ceremony onboard Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego. CSG-1 was formally established in 2009 and currently includes flagship USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 2, Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 1 and USS Lake Champlain (CG 57).
