Museum of Liverpool on 30th May 2024 in Liverpool, United Kingdom. The Museum of Liverpool tells the story of Liverpool and its people, and reflects the citys significance. It opened in 2011 as an addition to the National Museums Liverpool group replacing the former Museum of Liverpool Life. Pier Head or Georges Pier Head is the riverside area in the city centre of Liverpool. It was part of the former Liverpool Maritime Mercantile City UNESCO World Heritage Site, however this was revoked in 2021. Pier Head is formed around several of landmark buildings as well as open pedestrianised space.
