BUSH BEANS-Green Podded Variety Culture—Plant about May 1st, or as soon as all danger from frost is over, in warm sheltered spot. Manure ground slightly before planting. Sow in drills two inches deep and eighteen inches apart, put beans about three inches apart in drills. Hoe well and keep free from weeds. Sow every two weeks for succession. Quantity required, 1 qt. to 100 ft. of drill or 160 hill ; 1 bu. per acre. Burpee's Stringless G-reen Pod —It is the earliest and most valuable green podded Snap Bean. It is the hardiest of all varieties, having withstood frost which destroyed the Early Six Weeks. It has been an- nually each season, the first to mature pods for use and is ab- solutely the finest in quality of all green podded sorts. The pods are well rounded, very meaty, and absolutely stringless, even when the beans are fully devel- oped.
