An Ottoman miquelet-lock rifle, circa 1800 Earlier (17th century) smooth bore barrel in 14 mm calibre with a muzzle in the shape of a monster's head and double brass front sights. The top of the barrel is completely covered with chiselled ornamental designs, inlaid with silver, and set with several (some missing) corals. Iron (incomplete) silver-plated miquelet-lock (half-cock sear missing).
