Doctor Hauss has for many years been prominently connected with theIndiana Eclectic Medical Association and was president of this organizationin 1905. He is also a member of the National Eclectic Medical Association,and is a special contributor to some of the leading publications of the EclecticSchool of Medicine. During 1898 he was made a member of the board of trustees of MooresHill College and has served in this capacity to the present time. He received. O. ROBERT HAUSS. BAIRDS HISTORY OF CLARK CO., IND. J21 the degree of Master of Arts from this institution in 1901. He is an officialmember of the Methodist Episcopal church, a Mason, and a member of theEastern Star and a state director of the Indiana Childrens Society. He isjustly proud of being an honorary member of Jeffersonville Post, No. 86, De-partment of Indiana Grand Army of the Republic. In all of the above organi-zations and associations. Doctor Hauss takes an abiding and active interest andhe makes his influence felt in all of them. In temperament the doctor is ar-tistic and appreciates the beautiful in music, nature and art. He is proficientin music and devotes as much attention to it as his many exacting duties willpermit. He is congenial, affable and public spirited, and his attractive homeis always a place of hospitality and good cheer, where numerous friends ofthe doctor and his estimable wife frequently gather.
