The device consists of a flat steel bar punchedwith spike holes to be attached to the joint ties andthe preceding four or six ties, depending upon theseverity of the creepage. In order to bunch the jointties, tighten the gage of track, or cause other track illsdue to rail creepage, ties with this device must dragsix or eight ties instead of two as with the usual typeof anti-creeper.
