A new very rapid erowins' cucurbitacea from California, of very handsome appearance, the stems attaining a length of 20 to 30 feet in a season. The leaves are of a beautiful, glossy silvery shade, trom 3 to 6 inches in diameter, covered with short, scattered hairs. The small white sterile flowers appear in slender racemes, and the fertile grow singly and are larger. Fruit oblon^-shapcd, about 2 inches long, densely covered with short pungent spines. The plant develops itself fully the first season, but can be cultivated as a perennial, as it produces long and large tuberous roots and is very easy of culture. Per packet, 50 cents. New ^lignonette, Golden Queen (Reseda Od07'ata Ameliorata). An attractive and distinct variety of a dense pyramidal, habit of growth. It throws up very numerous flower stalks, terminated by spikes of golden yellow blossoms, with which the bright green foliage of the plant form a pleasing contrast. It is quite fragrant. Per packet, 25 cents. Xew Primula Vesuvius. This magnificent new Primrose is the most brilliant colored primula in cultivation. The rich crimson scarlet flowers are of immense size, elegantly fringed, and of great substance. Per packet. 50 cents. Gnaphalium Decurrens (Xeir White Everlasting). This new everlasting flower is of branching growth, 8 to 10 incheB high, with a main flower-stalk measuring 24 to 3) inches in height. The flowers arc white and produced in thick clusters. It is a charming immorleile and grows freely in any garden soil. Per packet, 25 cents. New Pansy, Snow Oueen. The flowers of this new sort differ entirely from those of the ordinary White Pansy. They are of a delicate satiny white. wiTh a slight tin-re of yellow towards the center.
