An Owl sculpture in Grizedale forest park Cumbria England
Grizedale forest in Cumbria led the way in the 1970's integrating works of art into natural environments. Many artists, such as Andy Goldsworthy, have spent several months living locally and exploring the area using the inspiration gained to create works of art. There are over sixty sculptures which can be visited by bike or on foot. Some of the sculptures are allowed to decay back into the forest and new sculptures are added every year.
