An example of use of the stone of Brac: the family Petrinović's mausoleum in the cemetery of Supetar (Comitat de Split-Dalmatie - Croatia). This quality limestone has been exploited since earliest antiquity allowing the erection of many famous monuments. Exemple d'utilisation de la pierre de Brač : le mausolée de la famille Petrinović dans le cimetière de Supetar (Comitat de Split-Dalmatie, Croatie). Cette pierre calcaire de très bonne qualité a été exploitée dans les carrières de Brač depuis l'antiquité et a permis la construction de nombreux monuments célèbres. Une légende locale prétend que la Maison Blanche à Washington serait édifiée avec ce matériau. Bien que cela soit inexact, un peu de pierre de Brač pourrait effectivement avoir été utilisée lors d'une rénovation de la Maison Blanche en 1902.
