Branches of rhabdosome diverg- ing at 300°, with acute axil; straight in shorter specimens and gently curved in longer ones, some- times with the ventral side as the concave one, but more frequently with a convex ventral side thereby approaching the shape of the handles of a pair of pliers ; mostly about 10 mm long, rarely surpassing 20 mm; usually of uniform width [see " Remarks"], which is .8 mm.
