Private living quarters of the priests at the Bobrenev Monastery in Kolomna, Russia

On the left bank of the Moskva River you’ll see the picturesque Bobrenev monastery with fanciful towers and temples that rise in the middle of the field. The openwork towers of the wall give the entire structure an elegant and lightweight look. According to legend, the monastery was founded in 1381 by the hero of the Kulikovo Battle, Prince Dmitry Volyntsev, nicknamed Bobrok. In 1790 the main church of the monastery, the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin with the tent tower, was built. Later, in 1861, Theodore Church was built in classical style.
