The head sinks in between the shoulders, the backis curved in the upper dorsal region, Fig. 3 shows thewoman Schlesinger demonstrated in 1894 at the Natur-forscher-Versammlung.* Looking more carefully at the head,one is also struck by the changes in the soft parts, as well asin the bones. The shape of the nose, lips, tongue, and lowerjaw is typical. The nose is enlarged in every dimension,and sniibbed, the lips much swollen, especially the underlip, which is very large and prominent. The tongue is muchenlarged, often to such an extent that there is no room forit in the mouth,
