The very first morning after our arrival, betweenfour and five oclock, we become conscious of some slightlocal excitement, and find on making observation from theveranda of our hotel, the Royal Yictoria, that this slightripple upon the usual repose of semi-tropical life is causedby the arrival of the fishing-boats, which have just come in,and toward which the early customers are proceeding, tomake their purchases.
