White Spruce on the Tundra, Hudson Bay, Canada

Tundra studies at Polar Bear Point, Wapusk National Park, Churchill, Manitoba, Canada, North America. There are two types of vegetation, White Spruce (small stunted fir trees which may be 100s of years old) and Arctic Willow (low growing deciduous bushes). The white spruce are concentrated in the boreal forest, with scattered stands on the Taiga and finally the odd group at the edge of the tundra.
