An Italian powder flask,circa 1580. A half-cylindrical wooden body with finely tooled,sewn leather covering. Rich vine decoration on the front along with monster heads and a decorative vase. Finely chiselled iron mountings with a spring-loaded nozzle. The lever has a restored break. An iron belt hook screwed to the back with a base in the shape of a fleur-de-lys.
