The Carmelite Convent Heilig Blut Dachau

The Carmelite Convent heilig Blut Dachau was founded in 1964 by Sister maria Theresia (Dr. Berta Vorbach, 1911-1970). Initiator was the Auxilliary Bishop to Munich, Dr. Johannes neuhausler (1888-1973), who had been held captive in Dachau concentration camp as a "special prisoner" from 1941 to 1945. The plans for the convent were designed by the Munich architect Professor Josef Wiedemann (1910-2001).
