Newly restored LNER A3 class locomotive “Flying Scotsman” leaves York on its way to London to make its inaugural comeback passenger-hauling journey from London King's Cross to York the following day. The locomotive has been restored at a cost of £ million and in addition to featuring in a new exhibition at the NRM's York location will be hauling special trains throughout the UK in the coming months.
