James Foggo, deputy commander, 6th Fleet, during his visit aboard the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19). Mesa Verde is a part of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group, which relieved the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group on April 27, 2011, in support of Operation Odyssey Dawn, later becoming Operation Unified Protector. Mesa Verde deployed from her homeport of Norfolk, Va., March 23, and is currently conducting operations in the 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
