A flintlock pistol,Nicolas Bis,Madrid,circa 1720. Two-stage barrel,octagonal then round after a chiseled baluster with fine floral engraving,a reinforced muzzle,and a smooth bore in mm calibre. The breech bears the gold-filled mark of Nicolas Bis(Stöckel no. 59),four gold-inlaid lilies,and another signature on the side. Finely cut and engraved flintlock,signed "NICOLAS E MDRD". Replacement walnut stock with finely engraved iron furniture,and another signature on the belt hook. Later wooden ramrod with a horn tip. Length 49 cm.
