The Great Falls and Old Dominion ElectricRailway, the Washington, Arlington and Falls Church Electric Rail-way and the Washington, Alexandria and Mt. Vernon Electric Rail-way cover every portion of Alexandria County with their main linesand branches. All the electric railways named are in prosperouscondition, the smallest having carried twelve hundred thousand pas-sengers last year.
