Chatsworth House, from a coloured engraving published in 1870

Chatsworth House, from Morris' "County Seats of Great Britain and Ireland", 1870. The picture was originally made by printing with maybe a dozen separate impressions each with a different colour ink, which means that the details are sharp and clear for excellent reproduction. Chatsworth House was rebuilt pretty much from scratch in the sisxteenth century; more recently it has been used for settings for television and film producitons, including Downton Abbey.
